I'm getting through Tony's YT Fulcro 3 series. In the video 5 (https://youtu.be/JBy_htHxygo?t=731, Tony says that the ident-optimized-render is set as a default :optimized-render!.
The video he made was based on v3.0.0-beta-13. In the recent v3.5.28, the ident-optimized-render doesn't seem to be a default one.
Why it has got replaced? Are there any particular risks one should be aware of before applying it?
Rendering is almost never the source of problems, and ident optimized turned out to actually be slower in many cases because of the computational overhead of computing the minimal update is just as expensive as vdom render from root, and ident optimized requires extra work on the part of the developer that isn't worth it
