My disappointment when I learnt that there's no sound rule around gender, as one finds in Romance languages, was very large! That said, I was maybe even more irritated to find out that articles are re-used across gender/case combinations, so die and der are not reliable indicators of the gender of the following word without also solving for case. :melting_face:
