Morning. Such a day of preparing stuff. Making a 7.5 minutes company presentation for students at NTNU (a uni in Norway) and preparing for a Clojure episode on “Utviklerpodden” https://pod.space/utviklerpodden

Oh, as in private, only for me and the ones that I share them with. I will most likely share the links, but probably not with a subsection called “Rich Hickey Propaganda” 🙂
Yup, I’ve experienced the same thing. He was a manager who overheard some of us talking over coffee and cake about how best to find another Clojure job because Clojure was so amazing (but the place we were working decidedly less so) and he remarked that we sounded like a cult.
https://archive.attn.com/stories/7910/how-to-tell-if-someone-you-know-is-in-a-cult I might be taking this task a little too seriously…
https://informationparlour.com/ways-to-know-and-identify-a-cult-member-or-cultist/ ah, we need a handshake. Obviously with times being what they are, it's not exactly a good time for a handshake. How about we carry foam parens and bump them against each other in some way?
https://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2014/06/the-seven-signs-youre-in-a-cult/361400/ OK, this is very detailed. Apparently we must start shunning individuals as punishment. Maybe some regular meetings with some leadership figures. Does apropos count?

I think what weirds people out about clojure is that we actually have fun doing our jobs when we get to do it and that just sounds wrong
Morning
Clojure's main difference from a cult is that it's mostly an eye-opener IMHO
