Morning investigation

I’m heading to lunch with this guy https://people.kth.se/~tomase/ That course in large scale programming: Tomas has been teaching it for quite a while. Some years ago he conditioned his doing it with that he would use Clojure. Quite a few Clojure coders are born there yearly since. 😀 I haven't met him very many times, but he held a ClojureScript workshop that was a turning point for me in deciding to switch careers. Before I created Calva. No idea what made Tomas suggest a lunch today. Super stoked. He's a nice guy!

That was awesome. He mainly just wanted to talk. 😀 Showed me a lot of amazing things that he has built with ClojureScript. It's a pity he is not out on conferences and showing stuff. My mind is blown, so I am happy. He shared a technique he uses for introducing “why Clojure?” to his students. He starts by asking them if they think they should be using git in the course, or skip that. He really challenges them. They start to think he is crazy, and he forces the class to make the case for version control. He receives a ton of arguments for using git. Then he flips the discussion to be about requirements when choosing a programming language. And uses the arguments from “why git?” that the students have just produced. 😂

Ha, looks like someone I would love to have lunch with!

You would, @U06GS6P1N !

Morning, today I'm adding type hints to a Python codebase

It's actually novelty enough that I find it more refreshing than tedious

Made another nbb example: https://github.com/borkdude/nbb/tree/main/examples/chalk It's pretty much a 1-1 translation from their README and ... it worked!
