Watching a random development related video with the team for something that we call "engineeringing video lunch", with pizzas and stuff etc. The guy on the screen is talking reasonably, eventually coming down to engineering essentials and safe tools of choice, immutable values etc. Can already feel a weird clojure or rust vibe coming along. Looking up the speaker and well sure it is Glenn Vanderburg from Nubank. Somehow all the sw engineering videos i like end up in the same place 😃

I'm glad you enjoyed it! The Clojure connection goes way back … at the time I wrote the first version of that talk, in early 2010, I was working at Relevance. That was during the period when Stu Halloway had become excited about Clojure and started steering the company toward Clojure and away from Ruby. (Relevance, of course, became Cognitect a couple of years after that.)
