morning lovely people, here in the :flag-nl: our lockdown has been extended till the end of April.
Good morning Europe. Germany / Bavaria also until April 20th. But my bets are that this will not be the end.
@ordnungswidrig unlikely.... I agree. But we'll see
Today the lockdown in Italy has been extended until 13/04
(Morning)
Denmark extended til June
where did you read this? In the news yesterday, the prime minister of Denmark said that they would slowly start opening after easter
That’s what they call the european union, right? [SCNR]
that actually might be a good thing... other countries can then see what is happening then.
it's kind of lockdown-light in Berlin, but judging by the amount of people on the streets you wouldn't be able to tell...
seems there's still a significant part of the population that thinks this whole thing is overblown by the media
same here. it's a bit weird when you hear stories from your relatives in switzerland/italy
The anglophonic news has been either amazed or worried about Sweden. If I see links I'll post if you like @mpenet
I read this piece earlier https://www.thelocal.se/20200328/explaining-the-science-behind-swedens-relaxed-coronavirus-approach
It's difficult to assess now. Also sweden is particular imho. Very spread out, people generally compliant/responsible. I prefer the swiss approach tho. I think they might gambling with lifes to spare the economy (for now) over here in swe.
I found this interesting http://covidsim.eu/
The simulation supports “triggered general contact reduction” which is the attempt to “control” the epidemy based on “triggers”, e.g. the number of sick in the polulation or the number of hospitalized patients.
Also it produces pretty graphs and has knobs to play with
