@elken is partly right with his guess. I have been using the nickname since I was 14 or so. (That's 40 years, for full disclosure). I liked to play pinball games. They had this huge arcade at an amusement park in Stockholm. You could visit the arcade w/o also visiting the whole premise. One day I had some major luck and the game asked me for my name to enter into the high-scores list! It only accepted three characters. While playing I had put down my PEZ dispenser on the glass of the machine. So it is indeed also the candy that is involved. 😃
