I think pandoc supports org mode files

I like exporting to HTML (with some custom CSS) and printing to PDF from the browser; it allows me more control over the styling than I think pandoc does

I note down both approaches. Pandoc did it for me for the moment but very plain indeed.

I used to use latex -> pdf, gives kind of an academic feel

and there are a fair number of latex resume templates

then i have this big edn file template

that I fill in the latex with

so edn -> latex -> pdf

From org, you can also export to pdf. But you will need to have latex installed.
