while I appreciate the poke, saying it this way is annoying

core.async stuff typically requires me to reload a ton of context to think about so it takes me a while to clear a window big enough to do real work on it. and sometimes I have done work that may not be visible to you (like in this case). I value the work you did on it and it has not been forgotten.
