I know cross-pollination is one of the arguments used for open space, but honestly I find that catching up over lunch or in the evening works just as well
I think it's the little things, like hearing a colleague saying they're going to setup coercion using spec conformers. That's a good thing to save them from 😛
I know; the problem here is that if I can hear, understand, and react to a colleague saying that, I'm not concentrating deeply enough.
Always being on the (mental) lookout for what's going on is multitasking, like constantly checking your chat or email.
