@seancorfield: thanks for the response! Indeed there was, but I think that's a different message Tried to use insecure HTTP repository without TLS. The message I'm getting suggests it's failing because the secret key is null. If I remove the credentials, I get a message saying S3 requires a username and passphrase to be set, which suggests that it's at least correctly setting the username, but failing on the passphrase.
