ha that's a bit of a marmite design decision. some people look at me strangely when I explain that bit. but it works really well and wasn't my idea (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNkYYYyfF48)

@jthomson - makes me jealous I'm currently integrating datomic into an already-existing ecommerce site. doing it from the beginning sounds easier.
