@alex.lynham we're 4 devs atm... though only 3 of those are clj/s
There are also a few clj shops around Machester, and further up north as well as in Bristol and Exeter way
Not necessarily remote though
I used to work for one of the clj shops in mcr and it was on site
although 2 devs were remote tbf
but I was onsite
Met someone at a clojure meetup and they mentioned they’ve been contracting at a few companies doing clojure on their data pipeline, Channel 4, Apple, Youview
There's at least one company in Cambridge (Metail), but I think most of the others I know of (outside London) have been mentioned.
And the team at Riverford (I think they're in Exeter) are also using Clojure
Thoughtworks bootstrapped the project, it's maintained and developed by Student Loans themselves now (I used to work there)
@U0525KG62 Arnold Clark in Glasgow also codes their site in clojure
Is remote work in general fairly rare in the UK?
(and is that perhaps because the UK is relatively small and so it's expected folks will commute or relocate?)
