maleghast08:08:45

Hello All 🙂

danielneal09:08:11

whoa what language is that?

danielneal11:08:59

morning actionshrimp

actionshrimp11:08:53

12:01PM... did you set a reminder for 12 or something

actionshrimp11:08:25

gotta be the first to wish everyone a good morning in the afternoon

mccraigmccraig11:08:09

@danieleneal it's a norwegian alphabet rendering of no particular word which would sound like "mornmorn" in english (without any rolled rs)

mccraigmccraig11:08:32

though "mån" in norsk, pronounced "mawn" means "moon"

thomas12:08:24

to me it looks like east-frisian moin-moin... which means good morning and hello... and a few other things

mccraigmccraig12:08:19

i think i was probably inspired by moin-moin @thomas - i used to work with a guy who said that

thomas12:08:13

I like moin-moin.

otfrom12:08:22

I learned about moin moin from the wiki

@jasonbell are you from County Antrim? North Antrim coast is a nice place, love Whitepark bay (not a castle but you can find lots of devil stone also my wife's parent live 10 mins away from the beach). And I think you can walk from Dunluce castle to the Giant's Causeway.

jasonbell15:08:31

@kevin42 I’m in Limavady in Co. Londonderry but I’m over that direction a lot. One thing my legs won’t let me do is walk distances like Dunluce to GC.

jasonbell15:08:40

Lovely part of the country.

kevin4215:08:09

We'd like to move to this part of the UK later but we might end up choosing Scotland instead but we'll see

kevin4215:08:26

Heard the name Limavady but not sure why.

jasonbell16:08:50

Limavady is a state of mind..

otfrom16:08:39

Its a long way to Limavady...
