As one of those despicable EU migrants, this is beginning of the exodus out of the UK for my family
#londout is my new favourite hashtag
What a disaster đ
My home town voted remain
your home town should leave the UK
Scotland will
Leicester voted in. No surprise there. The culture here doesn't even like the idea of "illegal immigrants" at all, no way would they vote leave. They're like a tiny yellow dot on the BBC's map
Have similar feelings @martintrojer but my brain tells me a lot can happen still pro EU
Hopefully I'll manage to sell my house before the housing bubble collapses
Smart money is to sell now and rent
(and then leave the UK in 2-3 years time)
I am looking for a silver lining, so far all I can come up with is the road outside my house will be less congested when the Nissan plant closes đŚ
So, Cameron out
Brois next PM tho
Boris' EU gamle worked out
i'm not so sad - i'm not remotely worried by the seemingly typical brexiteer concerns of immigration and sovereignty, but i think the euro is going to tear the heart out of europe and it's best to be as clear of the wreckage as possible
@martintrojer: this was transparently Boris' plan all along.
@mccraigmccraig: .. and make a epic wreckage ourselves!
I don't think for a moment that Boris cares about EU at all. Its just a vehicle to nr 10.
very Game of Thrones
He didn't seem very popular when he finally emerged from nr20
@thomas: you ok?
most upsetting this morning was the reaction from a colleague this morning was that when I said he shouldnât expect too much work from me today he lectured me on the fact that I was payed to do things and write code etc.
And one of the my Spanish colleagues was already told this morning to back to Spain during the school run
@tcoupland: thank you⌠Iâll have a chat with my manager next week (he is out this week).
@thomas I am not saddened by those reactions, I am ashamed...I am frequently ashamed of my nation, never more so than when I hear things like this.
@thomas: that's terrible. What's wrong with people? Seriously đ
Right wing racist xenophobic twats
lets all move the republic of scotland (proud member of EU)
I'd only have 70 miles further North to go!
there will be enormous work opportunities in the government in 'project brexit'.
should be offer our clojure skills to this end?
(very expensively ofc, ÂŁ350m / week anyone?)
airlift the sorry island to mars
that probably what PM Farage wants anyway
@martintrojer: ÂŁ350m/week wonât be worth a lot actually đ
demand to be paid in euros
I guess he's just making hay while the sun shines as he'll be out of a job in two years.
probably⌠and maybe the only positive thing to come out of all of this⌠Nigel Farage is out of a job now.
UKIP will be even bigger in the next general election mark my words
Boris (siding with Farage) just gave him lots of credability
I don't think there will be a UKIP as I think it quite likely they'll rejoin the Tories (unless he thinks he's become the new Labour party, which is another possibility)
UKIP 3rd largest party next time around for sure
yeah, could do.
âThe chain reaction being celebrated everywhere now by Eurosceptics wonât happen,â he said, adding that the EU was the worldâs biggest single market and âBritain has just cut its ties with that market. Thatâll have consequences, and I donât believe other countries will be encouraged to follow that dangerous path.â http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/jun/24/top-eu-leader-we-want-britain-out-as-soon-as-possible
