Ah. My work laptop is Windows with no python installed. And company IT won't allow it. So python means for me "no completion". It's a matter of customer orientation.
AFAIU the implementations fork off a python thread for communication. That could also be used w/o python, I hope. Have to investigate.
There's a mountain of hacks beneath it all. It would be cool to see a pure vimscript implementation of this. NCM offered a vimscript API, but not a implementation
> This repository is fork of https://github.com/roxma/nvim-complete-manager in pure vim script with python dependency removed.
Oh neat, asyncomplete added neovim support, seems to have matured a lot since I last saw it. I need to add support for it I guess!
Interestingly, it supports preview, which NCM does not. And that's been bothering me quite a bit.
@doglooksgood not at this point. There are some experiments but nothing easy to use yet AFAIK
@doglooksgood it depends which cljs. For self-host all that is lacking is someone willing to help.
I reviewed this PR and it looks good to me, however I don't feel I can just merge it myself without Antonio checking it
While having this PR merged would be the cat’s pajamas that’s not what I was alluding too.
Gotcha, thanks for replying 👍

@cgrand I'm curious, why do all your message reply to thread & send to channel? Do you do it manually? Or use an alternative client?
@dominicm I like to spam :-) when I think that the reply is of interest outside the thread I check the box.
@cgrand you're clearly more patient than me. I find the slack UI difficult, because I have to move from the keyboard to the tickbox using a mouse (like, a physical one). I tend to rush replies and forget to tick boxes and such.
