well, I just wanted to make you aware of it. apparently it's part of the ansi sql standard?

ANSI SQL is huge - and the standard is hard to read (partly because standards aren't free, so you have to rely on third party stuff). And vendor docs aren't always very good about telling you what's different from ANSI 🙁
