@akiva sometimes when a maintainer updates a package on MELPA, some of the dependencies may lag behind. it takes approximately 4hrs for MELPA to completely scan its DB (or so I heard) and acknowledged all the recent updates. You can subscribe to @melpa_emacs on twitter and check for missing package(s), once you see it’s updated you just have to re-run the update.
