http://Gaiwan.co is looking for a Clojure/ClojureScript developer to join our team. We are a diverse and tight-knit team doing a range of interesting things. The work we do includes: building custom browser-based applications for video production and event streaming, building BI and data analytics solutions, developing open source libraries and tools that are used on the majority of Clojure projects, helping customers develop their IT strategy, augmenting the developer teams of our customers with our expertise, working with customers on testing, dev tooling and dev experience. Your responsibilities will include: • Working with clients to gather requirements and discuss budgets • Writing pitches (https://basecamp.com/shapeup/1.5-chapter-06) to get everyone on the same page about what needs doing • Contributing to the Lambda Island collection of open source libraries and tools (e.g. Kaocha) • Writing open source documentation, blog posts, internal docs • Collaborating and pairing with others on the team • Developing Clojure and ClojureScript applications You: • are a proactive communicator, you are aware that working on a fully distributed team means you need to overcommunicate • have a few years of professional developer experience • are able to reason about your work from a business perspective • are familiar with modern web development, including UI/UX and CSS • are available a minimum of 3 days a week • are able to invoice as a contractor We strongly encourage women and non-binary folks to apply, even if you don't fit this description exactly.
