I find it interesting that @bhurlow’s vim plugin waits to apply parinfer until the user leaves insert mode

that sort of solves the issue that @snoe brought up earlier: https://github.com/shaunlebron/parinfer/issues/102

fixing that issue would wreck the insertion of ) as an auto-barf feature
