I wrote a quick-and-dirty tool to externalize :descriptions from inside an EDN schema: https://gist.github.com/hlship/7b54f1fc3cf9c5d3ffc8e30f78f45052 It doesn't quite sort properly, and you still have to manually delete the :description keys from your EDN, but it still saves you a bit of work.
