@martinklepsch: I'm sure Alex and Lynn can help you all you need, but if you need anything more, I'm happy to have a short skype call to give pointers (same goes for any Clojure conf organizers.. although I think I've talked to most of them already). You can DM me here if that is of interest.
Here's another resource that is super helpful: http://www.ashedryden.com/blog/increasing-diversity-at-your-conference
on a completely different subject, I'm working on the schedule for my reactji performance art - any venue suggestion much appreciated - emoji have feelings too 💌
@meow: long way off but how about scheduling in a performance for ClojureX 2016 in London in December?
btw, there is a new "event page" setup on http://clojure.org and I have populated it with several upcoming events http://clojure.org/community/events
the next 3 show up on the home page as well
as the new site is oss, you can also update or add new events via a PR (if you are a contributor) or by filing an issue (if you are not)
event pages are added like this: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/clojure/clojure-site/master/content/events/2016/clojured.adoc
and then show up like this: http://clojure.org/events/2016/clojured
I will try to stay on top of these but I'm happy to have help in doing so :)
@alexmiller: In the Cognicast there are usually a bunch of smaller events (ClojureBridge etc.) as well - is the plan to have that type of event in there as well?
I think ClojureBridge events are appropriate - I have not been keeping up with those
anything that is predominantly Clojure content
feel free to send me a PR if you'd like to add them :)
Mainly a clarification question - not a lot of Clojure events going on where I am.
Somehow I feel like I should be sending a patch to make changes though
sounds like you should plan some events :)
Maybe one day - come visit snowy Edmonton for Clojure North!
sounds fun :)
@alexmiller: thanks! Any chance you could add an RSS feed to the new events page?
yeah, there's an issue already logged about the news items and it would be similar
not at the top of my list but it's logged...
