Apparently if you're using authinfo.gpg, you have to use (setf epg-pinentry-mode 'loopback) now so that emacs doesn't error out (it asks for the passphrase instead - that was the default behaviour before). This wasn't the case until recently, so I'm wondering if I messed up something and this was just a symptom... 😄
