Google Analytics have 2 main products, free/enterprise. Good apis and do you need to use tag manager (custom setups, sometimes with js things). So, lot of opportunity.. but do you need to understand how works (what means exactly xyz)

Many company use.. at enterprise level.

From ds perspective: quite good API, could integrate other things via tag manager or other js.
