Yes, this is the middle season. Hopefully our local ski hill has negotiated a fixed electricity price for the winter, if they’re on spot-pricing, I doubt they can afford creating snow/running the lifts 😕

Haven’t gone tubeless yet. 5-8 psi-ish, I think. Not all snow is floaty. Sometimes it doesn’t work out when there is lots of fluffiness. But always worth a try!
I do more sand/beach than snow. I've got 10k of beach on my doorstep and another 10-12k just over the river. And lots of bogs/jeep trails at the British Army firing range/training ground

I’ve got a Garmin, so I might be on something. Have ridden tons, but have not ridden in a while due to a dumb uncooperative back. Hopefully this winter! 🤞

@slipset as somebody who likes biking but has not experience with race bikes (and hates running) is riding on the rollers a good idea to get some workout? (I'm scare by all the tiktok videos of people on rollers accidentally tumbling over and leaving their 3rd floor apartment through the window)

I very much prefer the roller over the other because there is more skill involved and it feels more like cycling. The other contraption feels like a stationary bike. I think that it’s easier to get a better workout from the other contraption as you can add more resistance, but I’d never do that because I hate the feeling on it. 30-45 minutes on a roller gets your heart going and improves your balance and bike handling. I believe it should be possible to use for normal people, but might be worth it starting close to a wall :)
I have an old tacx too. It was pretty cool, but since I got a fat bike I don't use it anymore.
I got a Wahoo last year. solid investment. although I ended up using the 'spinning' bike from my local gym more often. it just feels so smooth. and you can adjust it to pedal in a stood-up position which is good for the back/hips :)
I somebody knows about an indoor inline skating solution please let me know 😛

I can imagine my friend using some kind of equipments like the above to exercise while working on an office desk with computer… not sure if it is healthy, unhealthy, or just plain weird
