@shaunlebron: I’ve seen a few references to debouncing - what do you mean by that?

meow08:01:43

can't wait to see what this does for cursive

meow08:01:03

@shaunlebron: haven't chatted with you in a minute

meow08:01:08

how have you been

snoe15:01:28

I think debounce is referring to this type of behavior: http://underscorejs.org/#debounce running parinfer on every input can be slow

meow15:01:12

@rafd: we need to support parinfer in #C0J20813K so you might as well join this channel as well

meow15:01:50

@rafd: you do something with debounce in the braid seach, right?

shaunlebron19:01:35

@cfleming: just making sure that parinfer doesn’t run after every keypress

shaunlebron19:01:31

for the full-processing it does, it would create a noticeable delay, so debouncing just makes sure it will run at most 1 time per n ms

shaunlebron19:01:37

hey @meow, i’m doing well, you? starting a new job soon

meow19:01:56

I am keeping busy, that's for sure

meow19:01:12

mostly doing #C0CB40N8K

meow19:01:31

would love to hear about your new job

shaunlebron19:01:04

interesting, I’ve noticed parinfer’s history being eaten

shaunlebron19:01:25

which may be related to community growth

shaunlebron19:01:36

glad you’re working stuff like that

shaunlebron19:01:03

I’m starting at Stripe in february

shaunlebron19:01:58

turned down a role at some ideal clojure shop

shaunlebron19:01:23

figured working at a bigger company like Stripe would mean more chances to influence industry tooling. lot of open source devs there interested in trying new stuff

meow19:01:58

nice - very happy for you

meow19:01:24

I'm here if you ever need anything

cfleming20:01:26

@shaunlebron: Congratulations! That’s awesome. Are you moving to SF?

shaunlebron21:01:10

I am not moving, they’re letting me work from Houston!

meow21:01:34

awesome!

meow21:01:04

need a chat app? 😉

shaunlebron21:01:11

ha, they use Slack it seems

wamaral21:01:39

...for now
