defkurtz: How much clojure is out there? I have family and I'm out a few times a year. In fact I'll be there next week.
There's a market; you just need to know where to look.
Feel free to swing by the office when you back in town.

Hi all, I’m new to Clojure and thoroughly enjoying this beautiful language. Wondering what the job outlook for it is. I’m researching a handful of FP languages to be able to work outside of the JavaScript ecosystem. I’ve determined that I really like Clojure but before I commit any more resources to learning it…. Will I be able to get a job where I can actually write it most of the time?? Is the trend increasing or decreasing? Thanks!
fedreg: I think this belongs to #jobs-discuss
well it depends. I had no problem to find a Clojure job. I first started a contracting project where I was free to pick my own devstack. I used Clj and after getting real world experience I continued with other projects.
I found Stack Overflow’s annual survey to be interesting, as well. https://insights.stackoverflow.com/survey/2017#most-loved-dreaded-and-wanted
I'm not affiliated with these postings in any way, but thought there might be some people here interested. https://jobs.barrick.com/jobs/back-end-developer-clojure-1121 https://jobs.barrick.com/jobs/front-end-web-developer-clojurescript-1119
