> Periodic reminder that @climatecorp is looking for #C03S1KBA2 and #ios devs in St. Louis, Seattle, and SF. just have seen this in twitter
Functional Works has been mentioned a couple of times in the channel so for all those interested in Clojure and potentially working with Clojure, we have built a Clojure/ClojureScript web app and would love any thoughts or feedback - here's a little bit on who we are and how and why we did it - http://blog.functionalworks.com/2016/03/09/practice-what-you-preach/
@charliegfw: looks like your “jobs” link in the hamburger menu leads to a dead page
Thanks Chris - good spot - that link shouldn't be there. Our jobs are here http://signup.functionalworks.com/
@charliegfw: Authentication using GitHub asks for a full r/w access to the user data. Why?
@dottedmag: we are in the process of changing this - we only pull in your picture and email address.
should be changed by early next week.
@dottedmag: thanks for the feedback
@charliegfw: I signed up to Functional Works the other day and I like it, thanks for putting it up!
thanks @thomas I am glad you like it.
@chris Dead links are better than Dead on the inside, like a job board for Java jobs.
Work on a NASA project -> https://element-84-inc.workable.com/jobs/209049 This is a really great position for a great cause.
I don't think the position description covers that aspect of it.
it doesn't, but their website seems pretty definite about their location, and I sent them a resume about a week ago asking about remote work and never heard anything back
that being said, the "apply" link on their main site is an email link, not to this workable thing, so who knows
@rm I haven't seen Java in the wild in a long time, at least not at smaller companies.
@base698: i was unfortunate enough to have worked in a startup that did java + php. i fled.
Friendly reminder about #C0KL616MN
@emperorcezar: apologies
