I think that zebra is a long way from home.
there is always langrenn @maleghast
“langrenn” @mccraigmccraig?
cross-country skiing
@peterwestmacott - Debra the Zebra is indeed a long way from home - she was bought, by my wife, in Cape Town
@mccraigmccraig - I am seriously considering a pair for next year; don’t have the spare money right now, but I may well get some in readiness for next year.
@maleghast if you get a pair then there are some excellent wild ski-touring holidays to be had in scandinavia... check out https://www.dnt.no/hytter/
hopefully google-translate will help with the norsk
@mccraigmccraig - Ooh, thanks 🙂
FYI: next PWL London meetup with clj-core committer, book and library author @cemerick https://www.meetup.com/Papers-We-Love-London/events/246935780/ January 30th
Ah, shame it's the same night as the Thoughtworks dojo.
Sure, they appear here the next day https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEYe-1uDIkjPtuH_qhoybnA
Has anyone in here bought an XPS 13" “Developer Edition” from Dell, direct - basically it comes with Ubuntu instead of Win10…
Don't recall a media disk, but it's stock Ubuntu pretty much, everything is upstreamed
I am curious to know if they send install / rescue media, as I want to put a different distro on it when I get one, but I like the idea of a hardware tuned distro on a USB key or similar should I make a mess of things…
