I went there on holiday this summer. So nice. I remember that this particular canal was always empty of water at that time, though.

Maybe that was due to the drought?

Yes. I was surprised there was water in the Bächle at all, but there was. Which was a joy in the heat!

The drought hit us pretty hard, yes. But at least some of the Bächle still had water, right. Excellent for cooling wine bottles in the evening, too 😁

Nice! Are the water levels back to normal now?

I‘d say so. The soil in the deeper levels is still way too dry, but at least there is now enough for the plants again

Well, the city council tries to prepare and already makes changes. They had an exchange with cities in the Tuscany to talk about trees and plants that work well in this type of climate…

Schwarzwald is the new Tuscany.
