Looking over Victory Point's website, and Google data about them, it seems like it's very focused on board games and gets busy on a Wednesday evening (I hadn't realized it was more than "just" a cafe). They do offer reservations but it's $12/person (regardless of whether you play games or not) -- or you can just take your chance that you'll get a table... @andres you suggested this place -- have you been there? Do you have a sense of how busy it really gets midweek?

I'm not sure how busy it gets, but I've realized now that it is more appropriate as a social setting vs one where we share projects.

So... suggestions for a new venue, esp. from any of our East Bay folks here? Needs to be open reasonably late, be accessible via BART etc and have nearby parking, and be amenable to a bunch of computer folks with laptops 🙂 (I'm wracking my brain to think of anywhere near me but mostly I can only think of places that are more alcohol-focused and/or are too noisy for what we need)

Wish I had better knowledge of the area.. This might be a spciy take, but I would just be as happy hanging out with an alcoholic beverage and just talk about clojure in general.. if we can't have our laptops out..

I think most people are probably fine with a venue that happens to sell alcohol as well as food but I'm trying to avoid venues whose primary focus is on alcohol 🙂
