I can't take doing JS any more
i keep trying thinking ok ok ok maybe this time it will make sense
for some reason i am helping ACC Bootcamp students learn Javscript.
they said you said you hate JS?
I said yeah, i must have done something bad in my previous life ...
i did some python for awhile
now i am convinced i only want ever and forever want to do clojure
i'm doing pythonish stuff at work
I found a nice use for spec the other day. I’m doing some elasticsearch 5 testing and made a spec for a few document types I’m working with. Then I can quickly generate some random documents to populate the db with.
Nothing fancy, but it was quick and easy, and it gave me a chance to finally do something on my own with it
oh cool
anybody hear if Seranova landed anyone?
they wanted me to work there.. for low pay
well..
have they ever come?
well.. last i talked to them ... they had only frontend poeple in austin and not to interested in learning clojure, well one guy was...
i was thinking of doing a workshop, anyone who wants to come ...maybe end of jan ?
we could use the same project as last time... a simple compojure app ... or ... can we think of something more interesting or different .. maybe get some repeat customers from the last class
i dont have Iron Yard or Devbootcamp to get freespace ... but could be we can do it at Conde Nast
what about ... clojurescript..
