I met with a member of the WebDriver team this morning. The main gist is that they previously did not reach out to folks who use WebDriver outside of the larger Selenium project and have now decided to invest in doing just that. They offered to promote Etaoin via things like sharing a blog post written by us, one of us participating as a speaker at their conference, etc. I’m just a humble maintainer of Etaoin and am probably not the guy for these activities, but the offer was appreciated.
Well, if someone feels compelled to speak about etaoin at a conference on their dime, speak up!
Yes, this channel is pretty quiet, but if there are big Etaoin fans out there, who have an interest in promoting Etaoin, let us know!
Oh @dave since you are here now… … I did ask about displayed-ness. The thing is, the code base is decades old, and developers have left, and reasons for all things are not fully currently understood. I offered to document the current state of displayed-ness for Selenium, if I ever get to a point where I understand it.
