Hey folks - been very quiet here for ages, not having any clojure gigs and my side project moved to rust (sorry!) But I'm leaving Thoughtworks (after 12 years!) so might have the option of clojure work in the future :-)

PM coming 🙂 + keep an eye on • #jobs and #remote-jobs channels to see new postings (a bit quiet these days to be honest) • #available-for-jobs channel for the other way around (as the name suggests)

What made you decide to leave TW after so long there?

There are reasons I'm not allowed to discuss, but a major part is I am a bit tired of consulting - you don't get to follow through, you solve problems but rarely stay longer than a year so don't get to see things through. Also, clients vary enormously, but sadly a lot aren't that challenging, technically. The really interesting companies tend not to need a lot of consultants, or at least not for long stretches.

Yeah, I've heard those concerns expressed by others working at consultancies. There are pros and cons.
