morning
random core function of the day:
-------------------------
clojure.core/case
([e & clauses])
Macro
Takes an expression, and a set of clauses.
Each clause can take the form of either:
test-constant result-expr
(test-constant1 ... test-constantN) result-expr
The test-constants are not evaluated. They must be compile-time
literals, and need not be quoted. If the expression is equal to a
test-constant, the corresponding result-expr is returned. A single
default expression can follow the clauses, and its value will be
returned if no clause matches. If no default expression is provided
and no clause matches, an IllegalArgumentException is thrown.
Unlike cond and condp, case does a constant-time dispatch, the
clauses are not considered sequentially. All manner of constant
expressions are acceptable in case, including numbers, strings,
symbols, keywords, and (Clojure) composites thereof. Note that since
lists are used to group multiple constants that map to the same
expression, a vector can be used to match a list if needed. The
test-constants need not be all of the same type.
(if this gets annoying I am happy to desist)

rumours of a snap election in the UK.... interesting one. especially if all the remain voters voted LibDem for a change 🙂
I’m not sure anyone would trust the lib dems after their last spell in power
but I’m also not sure who else I’d want to vote for at the moment…
one could argue the LibDems actually stopped quite a few things...(and let go through quite a few as well unfortunately)....
I’m not saying I wouldn’t vote for them - but their popularity took a hit
mind you... I should have sold me pounds earlier this morning. Pound is going down like a stone at the moment.
depending on what she says, they might rebound?
It's just a cynical attempt by the Tory party to extend their time in Government by riding a wave of populism now so they've another 5 years in power. It's like the causal equivalent of gerrymandering
Oh FFS Because, consistency Morning all
Don't know why I'd expect anything different from a politician. Complete 180s at the drop of a hat
funny old world: The Lib Dems claim they have gained 2,500 new members since the general election was called this morning.
@yogidevbear She’s taken a lead from Herr Drumpf who’s been doing 180's on almost everything lately 🙂
Yeah, I noticed that too 😞
It's a crazy world
When's your flight?
7:30pm Pacific tonight. We arrive 2:15pm tomorrow BST.
We may be a bit late to the Hen & Chicken on Friday but hopefully not by much.
Exciting 🙂 I was in the vet today and noticed a flyer for a catstravaganza in Warnham this Saturday
We’ll be driving up from Sidmouth (visiting a cousin I haven’t seen since I was a child) to Ripley where we’re staying for the rest of the trip, to check-in, then we’ll head down to Southwater.
The cat show we’ll be at is in the Leather Leisure Center, both Saturday and Sunday. In case any of y’all want to come to a cat show this weekend? 😸
Unfortunately @thomas is out of the country at the moment 😉 Mogge 😸
