Good morning! Coldest day of the winter so far in Copenhagen. I’m glad I don’t need to go out!
I actually missread the app I think, the -18 might be the "feels like". North of Lund. It doesn't feel so cold at all
Guten Morgen!
We have some snow in the lowlands, and -1°C, but drive 20 minutes up in the black forest and it’s mayhem. But not close to -18 rn
Guten morgen! It’s hovering aroung -5°C to 0°C down here. And a nice winter wonderland. I’d love to see the sun though. 😞
How comes there is this recen inrush of Copenhagen developers? @simongray did you run some ads in the metro?
Good morning, it's a balmy -3°C here on the coast of North East England ATM but colder with some light snow just 10 km inland on the foothills of the Pennines.
Gouda like in “Chees Gouda”?
I learned something 🙂
@ordnungswidrig There’s even a meet up here, but COVID took its toll.
today’s programme: a full-day zoom meeting with an academic advisory board of grey-haired European linguists
@ordnungswidrig I’m one Copenhagener and I only just told @reefersleep to join us yesterday (he actually moved out of Copenhagen recently). Other than us, I only think there is @orestis. I would love for there to be more of us here, though 🙂
@orestis I went to the last meetup held just a few days before COVID broke out and we had our first lockdown. I think most people there were merely Clojure enthusiasts.
As far as I know there’s the big SKAT project (I think @reefersleep was/is part of that), there Nosco (my work) and I think that’s it for visible Clojure employers ?
I'm in that project too and from what I can see we're the only ones here. At least in this channel 😉
I used to be a part of it too before I got my current job. Probably the biggest Clojure project in Denmark, something like 40-50 devs involved directly using Clojure. I also know that GoMore uses Clojure (and Ruby) as I interviewed with them once. They have about a dozen devs.
Then there’s http://enableit.dk - they also use Clojure. I worked for them for about a month before I noped out.
And then there’s the Centre for Language Technology at Copenhagen University, where I work. I develop every green-field project in Clojure/ClojureScript out of my own volition :-)
Just 3 devs at the moment. Pretty small company, I think we’re now 12 people in total.
Really cold here too, at 14C 😅
