Located in East Bay, doing Clojure full time. Love to get together with other Clojure enthusiasts.
So far we have: South (1) , East (3), "Outer" (1). We should start to think about possible locations in the Oakland/East Bay area for a social + show'n'tell get together. Do folks have any particular preferences or exclusions? (restaurant? bar? coffee shop? weekday? weekend? time of day?)
7am on a weekday at a bar sound ok?
"Surely you're joking!" Any of the places mentioned. Initially maybe a coffeeshop or bar would be best. Prefer evenings, say around 7pm, on a weekday, or noonish on weekends.
yeah agree with @U01CUL007JP, evening weekdays at a coffee shop sounds good. or if people like something different, how about a hike in tilden park?
(assuming it doesn’t otherwise exclude someone, of course)
👋 I'm about 45 min north of SF but with advance notice would enjoy a gathering. Gladly drive down for the day
OK, so the East Bay is beginning to sound like a possible meetup location. Since it's a big area, do folks have a suggestion for a coffee shop or similar for an initial social meetup one weekday evening? Needs free parking nearby and probably not too far from BART/transit, and can accommodate 5-10 folks just dropping in (no doubt with laptops etc!).
There is a Philz a block or two from Rockridge Bart
Stays open late, 10 minute walk from BART, looks like a good candidate! Thanks @UANH77XA9
