I use Firefox and Chrome on WSL2 all the time and they generally work really well. I guess it depends what you're really asking here?
I'm using X410 right now, but it seems the official GUI support is available now, like no longer in preview: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/tutorials/gui-apps was wondering if it was worth switching to it
I have also used Linux GUI apps through WSL2 with success, I think even back when it was in preview. No issues
I haven't used an auxiliary X server on WSL2 for ages. Maybe not at all - only on WSL1? Can't remember...
I have a full KDE running over RDP
