Yeah, I figured. But it was just one message. I ignored it, and he didn't say anything else.

Yeah, apparently he keeps creating accounts and spamming people in DMs. Sean got spammed as well. :D It might very well be that there's no human involvement there at all. Or that it's not "he" but "they". Eh, just keep on reporting such accounts when you get a chance, we'll keep on banning them.

Late to the party. Can slack be configured with automod? Something like this:

Account younger than X days -> DMs disabled
No posts on anywhere but introduce-yourself -> DMs disabled. 

If account younger than X weeks and DM contains "open for work", "hire" etc. (set of phrases to match against) -> Prompt mod action (allow/dissallow/suspend/ban).

I'm pretty sure the majority of bot accounts are dormant for weeks or even months before posting something. It's just something I noticed - hard to check post-factum because Slack mod tools suck.
