Just for fun I'm trying to get replicant-kanban working. I had to add some alias macros, but now I'm getting weird error messages from the replicant.dom/render function ๐งต
Any idea what I can do to debug this?
^------- nth not supported on this type function(a,b,c,d){this.Yb=a;this.name=b;this.da=c;this.Nd=d;this.F=2153775105;this.N=4096}
I already have source maps turned on + my own errror stepper, but all I can see this happens during rendering. I am now adding some println , but I was hoping there is a better waylook at the macroexpansion perhaps?
The stacktrace (with help of sourcemaps) links backs to the cljs source so I see roughly where it is coming from. This is already after macro expansion. It's from a call of (replicant.dom some-element hiccup) . The hiccup looks fine. Maybe there is something wrong with the alias setup. I'll will continue with the println's for now
"Threw exception while rendering alias" <= error message in console. So probably something is not right with the scittle macros I added
I was going to suggest that the alias threw an exception, that seems to trigger the nth error. I have yet to study this one closer. It's possible to define the aliases without the macro, that could possibly help debug things at least.
yeah I am guessing it has something to do with the compilation of cljs at the macro stage ๐คทโโ๏ธ So I think it will help if I define the aliases first without my likely problematic macro definition. Thanks!
Ah! I printed the hiccup for the alias before rendering. It stopped with the icons. Also a part i didn't port properly.. When I add some stub there things render
very badly...
There is some macro magic in the phosphor lib that I don't know how to replicate in Scittle yet
I promise I'm less of a fan of macros than it seems ๐
No worries it is a good excercise. After this app I don't think there will be many examples that I will not be able to port hehe
The phosphor macros are there to only inline svg for the icons you use, instead of all of them. I don't know how to do this without a macro
You could inline the icons in kanban and drop the library.
Yeah I would probably do the same. With Scittle included it is just one extra mental step on top of macros ๐
> You could inline the icons in kanban and drop the library. yeah good one, probably will do that first
Cljs macros are already fucking mindblowing to write ๐
is there a macro in replicant? if so, then something is not going to work since right now all stuff that's been added were assumed to be functions
Yeah in replicant.alias there are two defalias and aliasfn, but I have already ported them. I think they do work. Will make a PR later
it loads even with 8mb of icon edn ๐
๐ ๐
I think the code only uses two or three
I think only some issue with add task left
That's very cool ๐
Ah fortunately the "bug" also happens in the shadow-cljs project (without changes). So I'm done hehe
I put together that app to have enough examples for my talk, it is not complete.
Yeah I fully understand, I was just afraid I was missing something myself
๐
Unfortunately codepen doesn't support bigger files than 1mb or i would have really been done. Need to extract some files and upload them seperately ๐
perhaps jsfiddle
not sure how jsfiddle works but can you see this https://jsfiddle.net/jeroenvandijk/kL0cw7o2/2/ ?
I want to hide the css and js column but i don't know how
I can see it and it works :)
There is also something wrong. the dragging doesn't work properly like locally. Not sure what messed it up exactly
seems to work for me
you don't even need a server hehe
still something different then locally. Anyway ๐คทโโ๏ธ
amazing, just clicking the html file, open in browser works. a cool way to share apps with friends ;)
Yeah only not compatible with outdated codepen that thinks 1mb is enough for an html file ๐คฃ
we need to write scittlepen then
think so haha, but to be fair i'm including a custom build of scittle.core which is 1mb almost i think
Oh I think replicant-kanban was a request of @pez ๐
I think I broke something with the add task form. I will have a look tomorrow. Thanks for supporting me ๐ Have a good night!
So cool!
