Is there any particular reason the Pedestal website is HTTP-only?

I think for the majority of Pedestal users, the fact that pedestal.jetty is switching from Jetty 9 to (likely) Jetty 11 will not make any difference; it’s only if your application’s code uses the available callbacks to manipulate the Jetty APIs - which will change - such as (for example) to set up web socket support, that you’ll feel the pain. There might be other small changes related to packaging up a WAR file. We’ll know more as we start the make the changes.
