Backward compatibility is such a good thing! Slashdot featured news that the Python Software Foundation wikis were not up-to-date with security fixes because "some portions of the wikis were still built with Python 2" https://developers.slashdot.org/story/26/10/24/0642242/python-removed-wikis-for-8-months-to-escape-ai-crawlers-relaunches-on-github-pages

Anyone else here also acquired the struggle of remembering to type return when coding in other languages after getting used to Clojure? 😂

> What do you mean return? It's right here! In the last line of my function!

I always forget to add those pesky semi colons at the end of statements when trying to write non-clojure.

Then you see that it returned undefined (JavaScript) and you try to debug your final expression to see how it lost its data.

truly one of the best decisions rust made

Javascript is always the jester:

const result =
  doStuff();
return
  result;
(javascript allows breaking lines, and javascript also allows omitting semicolons - this one returns nothing)

My favorite in JS is: damn I need two statements(???) in this arrow fn, time to add the curlies, and then forgetting the return.

COMMAS!!!! ,,, having to type commas is the worst.
