Just got an email from another guy named Ethan McCue.

Feels like one of those Spider-Man movies doesn't it

There's another dev named Alex Miller that lives in my town that I have exchanged emails with. It's weird.

He lives in Seattle and is a management consultant. Really no overlap, which is convenient. He probably makes more money than I do and appears first in the google search, which makes me want to highlander his ass

I liked a post from another Jacob O'Bryant once. we're Facebook friends now and have never messaged each other but it was fun hearing about him going to law school and then graduating and such.

I know of one or two other Jacob O'Bryants in my state too, but in those cases we're probably related I guess

There's an Alex miller in the database community who is really sharp

long ago there was a twitter account that only followed people named Alex Miller. we joked that we could have a conference and we would not need name tags

https://x.com/alexmillerdb/status/2090283836059914478 I think there was a big meetup of people named Steve a few years back? Like thousands?

Circling back: I need to SEO this guy off the front page

or at least get him below me on the search results

so thats a new project. I might need to do more speaking and writing

"Everyone write an opinion piece about me specifically day"

http://Academia.edu has basically sent me a list of people who I need to beat on SEO metrics while bugging me about whether I've written any papers

There's a Bollywood movie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karthik_Calling_Karthik on these lines. (With a plot twist in the end.)

My first name has become so common that people are making money while making fun of us with us as willing participants, because we can't lick 'em, so we might as well join 'em. Said they: "We held India’s first and most exclusive Aditya Meetup. Here’s how it went." https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVDpMWQDN0D/ https://www.instagram.com/districtculture/reel/DVDl-WTjL1Q/

(Consequently, my first+last name is also common enough that I can hide in a crowd. I blame it on Gen X and millennial parents for getting lazy with their baby names... They never got past the 'A's... Aboli, Aahaan, Aalaap, Aarti, Aditi, Ananya, Anoushka, Anvay, Arya, A... you get the picture.)

I frequently get emails intended for my Belgian namesake. I could have modified his wedding menu in interesting ways if I wanted to.

Now defunct, it seems.

I'm in the market for that green/black outfit. Holy smokes.

Their thing was “men’s formal wear is boring, let’s make some less boring stuff”.

Although "ByEneroth" hews hard toward Capitol Couture https://thehungergames.fandom.com/wiki/Capitol_Couture Refined yet understated, and very very exclusive, for the select few only.

Hey this is fun. Thanks @pez! Clojure or rockband? https://clojure-rocks.agical.se/

Does anyone know what licensing applies to the ClojureDocs content? I made a speedrun Clojure quiz game using the snippets, but unclear if I'm allowed to publish that.

the site is unfortunately vague in regard to user data, but the repo itself is EPL 1.0 and I think that is really the only thing you could grasp onto, treating authors as contributors

so I would say it's fine to distribute under the terms of the license as a derivative work
