I don't have any comparative metrics yet, but to my knowledge it's not significantly slower than alternatives. Which numbers do you care about ?
I’m curious how it would scale on cheap hardware to let’s say millions of nodes

Missionary is similar to Clojure's async or JavaScript promises in that communicating between processes is not part of what the library does.
