Hi all - I’m Jesse, and I live in Seattle, USA. I’ve followed a C -> C++ -> Perl -> Java -> PHP -> Python & JavaScript trajectory over the past couple decades, and got interested in Clojure a few years ago, mainly because I found Rich Hickey’s ideas so compelling. A couple years ago I got started with Eric Normand’s excellent introductory tutorials, but then life got busy. Looking forward to getting started again!
We have a fairly similar trajectory -- although Perl was only incidental for me, when I worked at Macromedia, and my PHP was hobby only. But once I got to Java I stayed on the JVM but switched languages four times (ending up in Clojure).
