I would like to record CloudWatch metrics, including dimensions, e.g.:
aws cloudwatch put-metric-data \
--namespace "com/QuickBooks" \
--metric-name "ApiCall" \
--dimensions Operation=GetInvoice,HttpStatusClass=2xx \
--unit Count \
--value 1cast/metrichttps://docs.datomic.com/ions/ions-monitoring.html#metrics doesn't mention :dimensions as a valid parameter and seem to hardwire the :namespace to DatomicCloud.
this forces us to include these dimensions into the metric names, which leads to quite some proliferation of metrics, making CloudWatch dashboard creation quite tedious.
1. would it be possible to allow specifying dimensions in cast/metric calls?
2. where should i file such a feature request?

Thanks! I will write this up and explore with the dev team. For any feature request, we usually grab an http://ask.datomic.com case, a forum case, or a support ticket and then create a story in our tracking tool (Shortcut). The only reason I mention http://ask.datomic.com, the forum, or logging a support case is they might ultimately be more durable than slack to re-reference over time. I will create a shortcut story for this.
