I considered it, but it was too constraining for my use case (AFAICT entity types are determined by the namespace of the keys, I'd like to have the ability to make exceptions to this rule). I'm also not a big fan of some design choices, like conflating the notions of database value and connection in a single 'datastore' abstraction - I believe you lose many of the architectural benefits of Datomic when you start doing that, because you're back to a client-server architecture.
