Mornin'... I think mowing the lawn is in my future today!
On a Sunday? Is that even allowed?
In Ohio, you learn to mow whenever a) the lawn has dried out enough and b) it isn't too hot to do it! That can includes Sundays, if that's the "break in the weather" day 🙂
Here in the 🇳🇱 there are places where you can't mow the lawn on a Sunday.
Or drive your car. Or do anything for that matter.
Catholic?
nope, hardcore protestant.
You can't even reach the website of their news paper on a Sunday.
and the political party they all support doesn't allow females as members
Wow... I mean, I remember as a kid the jokes about the UK where you could buy a pint of beer and a newspaper on Sunday but not a pint of milk or a bible...
Oh... interesting...
I live right on the edge of it.
America has some of that (which was a shock when I moved here) but it is slowly going away: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_laws_in_the_United_States
On Sunday I see them walking to church sometimes. The men in a black suite, the women also in dark and with long skirts (NO trousers!!!)
and here it is growing..... as these families have lots of children. (I have heard of having 15 kids)
There are some deeply religious parts of America like that. Mostly in "The South". Ah, "Be fruitful and multiply..."
yup, and no anti-conception and what ever god wants. predestination, so no vaccines either.
