That's great news @seancorfield - glad to hear that the news was good 🙂

Mornin' All 🙂

Morning! TGIF! Some amazing stuff happening in Babashka-land right now: dev build can run tools.deps and tools.build without the JVM, including all the maven stuff, and there's a new deploy library, also without the JVM!

All very good things indeed!

Morning btw 🙂

I just started looking at Babashka for the first time this week, very cool.

I revisited Babashka a while ago after rediscovering blambda. I now have a couple of AWS Lambda functions in production using Babashka/blambda, and I started using Babashka for general scripting and quick CLIs. It's great!

I'm also using the task runner feature alongside some JVM Clojure projects so I don't keep forgetting what to type to invoke tasks 🙂

I switched my OSS projects over to bb tasks a while back but still had to use the JVM for builds (JAR, deploy). Having tools.deps and tools.build built into bb and able to run build.clj means that bb.edn can be simplified by moving utility code into build.clj and everything about your builds gets a little faster 🙂

@seancorfield I haven't had a chance yet to play with those new bb features...

I am going to go and catch up on the new features. I am a big fan of bb and we use it at my job for a LOT of things to homogenise tooling and all of that side of things. As such I am thrilled to see it going from strength to strength.

1.13.222 dropped this morning, so I have updated both HoneySQL and rephrase to use bb for all build operations. Both of those libraries are fully compatible with bb now and the Jolt nightly build (0.8.8 release should drop soon).
