Mornin'! Looking forward to a short week, as I'm taking Thu/Fri off to go to a cat show 🙂

Bank holiday here in England today, and I've taken the rest of the week off.

Our "holiday" is Labor Day which is next Monday (1st Monday of September), but I'll be working that day. Although, I will be taking it a bit easy, since I'll be recovering from the cat show 🙂 We're driving up to Toronto on Thursday. It takes about 4 1/2 hours (just under 300 miles) plus whatever delay at the US/CA border. Jay (my wife) has an all-day educational event Friday for judges. The show is Sat/Sun and it's the biggest of the year, so there will be a lot of running around with our new show kitten. Then we'll drive home Sunday evening (and the border control is much, much slower coming back into the US).

Saturday evening is the huge annual banquet and awards ceremony. Jay will get her 20 years' service award as a judge. I won't go to the banquet—a few of us are going to find a nice Indian restaurant nearby for dinner instead, but Jay has to attend the banquet as a judge—but we'll be back for the awards (unfortunately—I hate that shit).
